Ken Kahtava is a marketing and business development entrepreneur, having launched two marketing companies including Haskins Group and No Limit Marketing.
Ken’s professional career started in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving military service in 1990, Ken led marketing and business development teams at Hallmark Cards, founded two online marketing agencies and formed and led the sales team for a start-up software development firm. In these roles, Ken led business development efforts with Fortune 500 clients, and developed numerous new marketing methods and technologies, especially in the emerging online space.
In 2007, Ken decided to leverage his expertise in business development and technology in the healthcare sector, becoming the Chief Business Development Officer for a global non-profit patient advocacy organization. During his tenure, Ken helped lead the development and secured more than two million dollars in funding for a new business model that facilitated real-world collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, scientists, researchers and patients. In 2010, Ken founded a new non-profit advocacy organization focused on the epidemic of Chronic Kidney Disease in America, called KidneyWise, and secured one million dollars in funding to launch the organization.
Ken was born in Ontario, Canada and moved to the United States with his family in 1980 where Ken attended high school in Oregon. Still a Canadian citizen to this day, he relishes his expat status, proud to live in America and yet, maintain his Canadian roots.
Ken blogs here, ruminating on his experiences in the U.S., gabbing about technology, business, health, technology, hockey and other stuff.
By the way, the proper Canadian way to say About is Aboot.
